A Vintage Monaco, a Steel Bracelet, and a Sock.
My grandfather left me a vintage Heuer Monaco when I was eighteen. It was on a bracelet, so it would not lie flat, and every watch roll I tried had been built for straps. I protected it with socks for years, which is less a plan than an admission. That is the whole origin of this thing.
Discommon eventually had the engineering, the R&D, the tooling and the testing to go back at it properly. The leather had to change shape around the full depth of the case without stretching, kinking or tearing. We committed to steel tooling and a molded core, and steel tooling makes every single change consequential. Seven years was not time spent searching for a concept. It was time spent refusing to ship the wrong version of a simple idea.
There is nothing better you can put your watch in. That was the only version worth shipping.

How do I look after it?
Wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth. Keep it out of direct sun for long stretches. The microfiber lining brushes clean with a dry hand. That is it.
